Whether this is your first time practicing martial arts or you’ve been practicing for many years, you’ll learn the basics of boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA. IWTC CLASS GUIDELINES AMID COVID-19

How we have prepared:

  1. We have minimized the amount of people who are allowed in the building at the same time to 18 people.
  2. Classes are staggered so as to minimize the contact with people in the previous or upcoming class.  It will also create less congestion in the lobby and parking lot.
  3. Entire mat space will be thoroughly sanitized prior to each class.
  4. All bags, mits, protective, gear and equipment will be sanitized before and after each use.
  5. Classes/sessions are 45 min to allow for cleaning afterwards.
  6. Water fountains and showers should not be used.
  7. We have expanded the individual practice circles on the mats for your awareness while respecting social distancing.
  8. If you wish to participate and want your instructor to wear a mask please contact them and let them know.  We want to respect your health concerns.
  9. Purchased grappling dummies for solo work during classes

 

What we require from our gym members:

  1. Arrive no earlier than 5 min before your scheduled time to minimize contact.  *Avoid socializing after class to minimize contact.Leave your shoes in the cubby in the entry...NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. Bring your own water.
  3. Bring your own gear (pads, gloves, wraps, gis, etc.)
  4. Take your gear home with you AND WASH / SANITIZE IT.  You will no longer be able to store gear in the locker room...until further notice.
  5. Do not shower at the gym.
  6. If you or anyone in your family has been sick with flu like symptoms we ask you to stay home 16 days before returning to the gym. 
  7. If you have done any airline travel please stay home 16 days after you return to ensure you are symptom free before returning to the gym.
  8. ABSOLUTELY NO ROLLING AND SPARING in order to minimize contact.  You will be asked to leave for not following our request.
  9. Only people attending classes are allowed in the building during scheduled class times.
  10. Group classes should make every effort to stay within the assigned practice circle.
  11. Sanitize on the way in and on the way out.
  12. If you happen to have allergies (lots of sneezing) please wear a mask.  We will do the same.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Iron Works Training Center will keep your brain sharp with our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This type of martial arts is a physical and mental chess match. Every move has a counter move, and it’s a great way to challenge yourself and get a great workout at the same time. Children's Jiu Jitsu

Our lead instructor, Jon Froh, covers a wide variety of skills for children to learn and work toward. When your child starts Jiu Jitsu from the very beginning, they’ll learn sportsmanship, self-defense, and self-confidence.
